This blog offers a portfolio of work compiled from the last few years. Much of this work draws upon my academic research and teaching in English, Film and Visual Culture--in particular my interest in classical British and American cinema and the material legacy of early film culture , with its rich history of film artworks in advertising, promotional materials and tie-in products.
Included also are artworks drawn from literary sources, some of which were exhibited at an AHRC funded Beyond Text conference I co-organised at Exeter University early 2011--the event, entitled Interfaces, looked at the intersection between arts disciplines beyond standard textual forms of research and presentation.
